Somebody mentioned the truck weight but keep in mind that just truck weight is fine if pulling on pavement with no incline. Pulling up hill means working against gravity. But you will most likely not need to pull yourself out of a mall parking spot and much more pulling power will be needed to get yanked out of mud, which is a much more likely possibility.

Searching for the best truck hitches for towing requires that you carefully consider the price of the model, the towing weight capacity, the type of hitch, and the durability of the materials used in the hitch. If all of these things blend together in a fashion which results in the best possible towing hitch for your personal needs, there is no reason you should hold back on your decision. However, always be sure to purchase something only if you can afford it.
The durability of the metal used in designing your truck hitch should be something that everybody takes into account before purchasing one. Since these products are typically made of metal, a common issue that could result is rust and corrosion. For this reason, many manufacturers will make their truck hitches coated so that they are naturally resistant to the weather and rust.

Last on the list is the Trailhead multi mount trailer hitch d ring. Very similar to the other Shackles on the list. Has multi point positioning to spin the d ring horizontal and vertical. This one  is rated up to a hefty 11,000 lbs just like the rest. Included is a set of D-Shackle side isolator rings that eliminate shackle rattle when the unit is mounted to your vehicle’s hitch. By making this shackle hitch receiver out of drop forged steel, we’re able to get the most out of the mechanical properties of the steel. This is done by not compromising the grain direction of the steel, resulting in one of the strongest, most reliable products you’ll find on the market. While other brands are forging or machining their D-ring hitch for you, we’re relying on the time-tested drop-forging method. Not only is it the best method for making a shackle hitch receiver, but it sounds pretty rugged too.

I bought this gear and a tow strap from Rhino USA after watching multiple winter YouTube clips of trucks helping folks out of ditches on the east coast. Figured it would come in handy sooner or later. Turned out much sooner. On the start of my drive from Homer AK to Anchorage AK I drove past a van in the ditch with a bunch of kids trying to push it out. Another SUV tried pulling them out with a rope but only managed to entrench her tires more. I asked the gentleman if I could give it a try since I had gear and a truck. I attached the hitch receiver, tow strap and hook and pulled her out without much hassle. Thankful I bought this gear and hope to lend a hand to folks in the future.
