I spoke to my contact at Lippert Components (LCI) and they informed me that the jack will perform best in cold weather when it is properly lubed and cleaned. To clean the jack I recommend using a brake parts cleaner and spraying down both the drop leg and gears within the head of the unit. Once these two components have been cleaned you will need to acquire some lithium grease like part # L10307 and apply that to the gears on the trailer jack. Once you grease the gears on the unit you...

Law enforcement agencies generally support the Taser as a worthy tool that protects officers from violent offenders and protects the suspects as well. According to Taser International, founded in 1993, which markets products based on Mr. Cover’s original invention, more than 13,400 law enforcement agencies around the world now use Tasers. More than 375,000 individual officers have them, and so do more than 181,000 private citizens.
Those who are interested in buying items like these have many different types available for their needs. For example, a trailer fender is necessary for protecting your RV from impact damage. They can fit where old ones were and fix any auto body concerns from which your vehicle suffered. More specific types include RV awnings that provide you with a comfortable place to sit during rainy weather.
So every time she has had to hitch up, which is often, raising and lowering her jack has darn near thrown her back back out. To make matters worse, with an e2 weight distribution hitch she loathes, she has to (usually) RAISE the jack up to get the coupler high enough to clear the ball, LOWER it down onto the ball. Then she has to again RAISE the hitch way up, literally lifting the back of the truck, so she can get her weight distribution bars high enough to install them. Finally, she has to LOWER it back down until the jack foot is all the way up. That's a lot of cranking and it makes Kelly cranky. (Sorry. Couldn't resist.)
Other types of RV accessories are designed to protect mechanical aspects of your camper. For example, new trailer brakes and torsion axles are necessary if your vehicle breaks down. However, you may also need to get RV leveling blocks to keep your camper from moving under uneven ground. These items are useful for keeping your camper running properly.
I went out to the warehouse to look at the Lippert Electric A-Frame Tongue Jack, # LC285318. In order to remove the screws that secure the cover you will need a long and thin phillips head screwdriver. If you don't already have one, you'll want to purchase a Protective Cover, # UF38-944020, to keep your jack dry when you are at the campsite. This will protect the head of the jack and keep the motor protected from the elements.

We highly recommend getting yourself an electric trailer jack. Marshall has always had one on his Lance, and Kelly just recently got our #1 recommended Husky electric jack after almost three years living with a manual jack, and she couldn't be happier. For Kelly, it was one of those "Why didn't I do this a long time ago" reactions. Oh well, nothing like living in the present and not bitching a fit every time you have to hook up! No more worries about Kelly's back going out because of her jack. Her back is jacked, but her back won't go out due to a jack. Something like that.
