I purchased this cover for my BD500199 electric tongue jack. It fits great, looks good, and stays in place while driving... one bit of advice though: my level blistered, or shattered, I'm assuming from heat. the cover basically rests right on top of the level. I contacted etrailer and they sent me a new level. I have a foam insulator between the level and the cover now. 541015

I have used this cover to cover the tow jack on my trailer which has been parked up on the drive of my beach house for the last 12+ months. It has therefore been subjected to a marine type environment which plays havoc with house door fittings etc. The cover has survived intact and is now still in an "as new" condition. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it. 424779
If a trailer didn't have a trailer jack, this means of transport would be pretty much useless – unless you are strong enough to lift it by hands or hitch (unhitch) a tow vehicle somehow else. Jacks can be manual and electric. With the help of an electric jack, you can hitch up substantially easier than with the manual unit, since a manual jack requires the application of physical force. Anyway, whatever the trailer jack you have, this part has to be completely workable and sufficiently reliable to prevent troubles during a journey under various conditions.
Back up your vehicle to the coupler of your hitch. Center the ball directly under the coupler (duh, right?). Lower your jack down so that the coupler connects with the ball and you raise up the jack up until it can't go up any more. (Don't raise jack all the way up yet if you have a weight distribution hitch that requires you to lift the hitch as well as the back of the tow vehicle.)
In the meantime, water, dirt, and minor collisions may lead to damage and deteriorate the look of the jack. As for the first two factors, you can reliably protect the jack with the help of a special trailer jack cover. This simple product is rather inexpensive but capable of saving you from more serious problems and prolonging the lifespan of the jack. Our store offers a large collection of trailer jack covers where you will definitely find the right product for your trailer.
