Then inside, we're going to have a nice soft material. Even if the wind's blowing this around a little bit or something like that we're not going to have to worry about any abrasion on our jack. The way it works is the simple drawstring here is going to pull down and secure around the outer tube of our jack. We'll just slide it over the top just like this, then cinch to close. This is going to protect not only the jack motor body itself but also our switches and out light from any kind of discoloration from UV fading. Also, it's going to protect it from the rain, the snow, dirt, debris.

The shipping weight of etrailer's Electric A-Frame Jack w/Footplate, # EJ-3520-BBX, is 25 pounds. This jack has received great reviews from our customers stating that it is well made easy to install. We don't put our name on just anything, so you can rest assured that this jack is good quality at a fair price. To protect your jack from the elements when not in use, I recommend the Ultra-Fab Protective Cover, # UF38-944020.
Yes. A 3,000 pound electric jack will work just fine. Based on your trailer weighing 7,500 pounds loaded will equate to your tongue weight between 750-1125 pounds. Although you can choose a 2,500 pound (see link attached) electric jack, I would highly recommend the Stromberg Carlson # JET-3555 (white) or # JET-3755 (black) as they are rated at 3,500 pounds. I think you will really like the price point! I have also included an FAQ for you too.

The Ultra-Fab Protective Cover for Electric A-Frame Jacks - Vinyl - 12" x 14-1/2" # UF38-944020 is the protective cover I recommend for your Husky Brute 4,500 lb Trailer Jack # HT87247. I've attached a photo of the dimensions when laid flat, but I've also attached a video to assist with the fit. It has a durable vinyl construction with integrated draw string closure.
Bought one to protect the head unit on boat trailer electric jack. Works great. Bought two more to protect our eBike (pedelec) computers on the handlebars of our bicycles. Fits nicely over the brake handles and the computers to protect them from inclement weather. Our bikes sit on an external bike rack when we travel. I had to take apart the computers and use a hairdryer on them after out last two thousand mile trip. Hope these eliminate having to do that and prevent future damage to the computers. 319085

This custom-fit mount lets you secure your Hi-Lift jack to the driver's side of your Jeep. The jack mount lock codes to your ignition key. Automotive-grade, weather-resistant black powder coated of keys - for your hitch lock and coupler lock, your pickup cover or trailer door, and all the various padlocks securing your equipment? Tired of fumbling for the right key or having to replace a lost key?

Even after I read the many bad reviews I decided to give this a try. I wasn't going to just let my tongue jack get rusty and broken. I know alot of you said it leaked and wasn't water resistant so I decided to use my waterproofing spray I use on family shoes on this cover. After a few crazy wind/rain storms it is staying dry. Hubby and I are happy with it.
