After what seemed like a hundred cranks, your trailer is lifted enough to attach the hitch to your truck, but your arm feels ready to fall off. An electric trailer jack can save your arm by lifting your trailer hitch with just the touch of a button. Most electric jacks use 12V power, so you can hook them up to a battery while you are out on the go and not worry about finding an outlet. Most models also include a manual jack handle as well so you can still lift the trailer, even if your battery runs out of power. The Barker electric trailer jack is a commonly found option, and the VIP 3500 can handle most campers and travel trailers, as it is rated to lift up to 3,500 lbs. This model lifts trailers up to 18 inches, so you can easily attach your trailer to your truck or SUV. There are many electric trailer jack options available with many lift capabilities, and with the large inventory available on eBay, you can lift your trailer with the touch of a button in no time.
The cover has worked great. The reason for only 4 stars is that we took preventative measures when it arrived. Many reviews complained about it leaking. We turned it inside out and sealed all the seams. Once dry, we put a plastic bag on first and then this cover. Using both has made a water/weather proof cover to protect the electronics of our power lift. The plastic on its own is not strong enough, adding this cover made the difference.
