Eliminate the physical exertion commonly associated with lifting and lowering a trailer when you use a Stromberg Carlson 3500 lb. Electric Tongue Jack. It does the heavy lifting for you, and has lots of other features as well. For example, the trailer tongue electric jack has equalizing bars that are easy to set, so you get better results, and two separate LED night lights that provide both added safety and additional illumination. The leg extends up to 23; and although it is heavy and durable, it's also surprisingly lightweight and easy to store.
when I ordered this cover for my electric tounge jack i got 2 of them becausse i just knew it was going to be some cheap knock-off from leather and this one would be made of whatever and with the climate changes here in Utah between the very hot and sunny to the freezing snow covered cover wouldnt last the first season, But i could'nt have been more wrong. this is one high quality cover you'll know it the first time you pick it up you can feel the heavy dense matterial. this baby will last a good long time, Maybe i'll go sell the other one for some fishin gear 145623
Mildew Prevention and Treatment No matter how carefully maintained, every RV cover can be a target for a case of mildew. What causes mildew and what are the most sensible ways to prevent and treat it? Mildew is a form of fungus present everywhere in the world. It is a primitive plant form that feeds on other plants and produces microscopic, seed-like spores that float freely. It takes dark, damp conditions to encourage their growth. Synthetic cover fabrics do not support the growth of mildew. Natural cover fabrics (those containing cotton) can support the growth of mildew, but such fabrics are treated with mildew inhibitors that will, with proper care, typically outlast the warranty period of the cover. However, dirt, pollen and other environmental particles that embed between the fbers of any cover fabric are gourmet fare for mildew and therefore, no RV cover fabric can prevent mildew from growing. Most remedies rely on sodium hypochlorite (household bleach) to remove mildew. A good, strong, all-around solution is ½ cup household bleach per gallon of water. Do not use liquid detergents in combination with bleaches. Scrub the affected surfaces with a soft brush, using rubber gloves and eye protection. Rinse thoroughly. For cleaning our covers, we highly recommend 303 Marine & Recreation Multi-Surface Cleaner which is safe and effective. Be aware that repeated cleanings can diminish the water repellency of the canvas. To restore water repellency to factory-new levels, we highly recommend 303 Marine & Recreation Fabric Guard. Remember that anything used to kill or remove mildew will wash or wear away over time, so be prepared for repeated treatments as part of your maintenance routine.
One pretty awesome solution is the Towing Organizer by GR Innovations. This made in the USA organizational solution attaches around your trailer jack (either manual or electric) and gives you a place to hang two safety chains, an emergency brake cable, and an electrical harness. Making everything neat and organized (and making Marshall a very happy camper).
Ever since my first job at Dairy Queen (yes, they DO let you eat the ice cream!) I’ve been career-focused. I completed my first internship with a professional football team while I was still in college. I was hired full-time as soon as I graduated, and within six months I was promoted into a brand new department. I thought I knew it all. But as I’ve progressed in my career, I finally realized…I absolutely do not. Shocker, right? Enter The Muse. (Via @Kararuns729).

Yes! The Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # JET-3755 is compatible with the Lippert # LC429756 that you referenced and it does measure the 8-1/2" when retracted. You could potentially use a caster wheel like part # PS1400750340 but this would cut your tongue weight from 3,500 lbs down to 1,200 lbs. All of our caster and wheel sets have a much lower weight rating so to retain the 3,500 lb tongue weight rating you will need to keep the foot pad. I recommend using the Ultra-Fab...
If a trailer didn't have a trailer jack, this means of transport would be pretty much useless – unless you are strong enough to lift it by hands or hitch (unhitch) a tow vehicle somehow else. Jacks can be manual and electric. With the help of an electric jack, you can hitch up substantially easier than with the manual unit, since a manual jack requires the application of physical force. Anyway, whatever the trailer jack you have, this part has to be completely workable and sufficiently reliable to prevent troubles during a journey under various conditions.
